AN ACT CONCERNING PENALTIES FOR CRIMES INVOLVING THE ABUSE OF A MINOR CHILD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That titles 53 and 53a of the general statutes be amended to provide that any crime involving abuse of a minor child shall be considered a felony and punishable by a term of imprisonment of not less than twenty-five years.
Statement of Purpose:
To better protect the state's children by increasing the criminal penalties for felonious abuse of a minor child.
