AN ACT REQUIRING THE BUREAU OF AQUACULTURE TO STUDY AND DEVELOP A PLAN TO OPEN NEW SHELLFISH BEDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Bureau of Aquaculture within the Department of Agriculture to study and develop a plan to open new shellfish beds when such beds have been tested and determined to be safe.
Statement of Purpose:
To expand employment opportunities in the shellfish industry by expediting the opening of new shellfish beds.
