AN ACT REPEALING THE PREVAILING WAGE LAWS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to eliminate any requirement that a contract for the construction, remodeling, refinishing, refurbishing, rehabilitation, alteration or repair of any public works project by the state or any of its agents, or by any political subdivision of the state or any of its agents, include any provision regarding the prevailing wage.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide financial relief to the state and municipalities and to facilitate public works projects by eliminating any requirement to pay the prevailing wage.
