AN ACT CONCERNING CONTRIBUTIONS TO QUALIFIED 529 PLANS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That sections 12-701 and 12-701a of the general statutes be amended to allow taxpayers to deduct contributions to any qualified 529 plan.

Statement of Purpose:

To expand the tax deduction for contributions to college savings plans to include contributions to any qualified 529 plan.
