AN ACT CONCERNING GRANTS IN LIEU OF TAXES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 12-19a of the general statutes be amended to provide that grants in lieu of taxes for state-owned property payable to municipalities be equal to seventy-seven per cent of property taxes that would have been payable for such property and to increase the prorated percentage for such grants to the prorated percentage applicable to grants in lieu of taxes for private hospitals and colleges under section 12-20a of the general statutes.

Statement of Purpose:

To promote parity between PILOT grants for state-owned properties and PILOT grants for private colleges and hospitals.
