AN ACT PROHIBITING DISABILITY INSURANCE POLICY OFFSETS FOR PENSION BENEFITS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit insurers from including in disability income protection coverage offsets pension benefits received by an insured.

Statement of Purpose:

To prohibit the inclusion, in a disability income protection coverage offset, of pension benefits received by an insured.
