AN ACT CONCERNING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR ROUTINE PATIENT CARE COSTS FOR CLINICAL TRIAL PATIENTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to expand health insurance coverage for eligible routine patient care costs associated with cancer clinical trials to such costs associated with clinical trials for disabling, progressive or life-threatening medical conditions.

Statement of Purpose:

To improve the quality of health care in this state and encourage participation in clinical trials.
