AN ACT CONCERNING CREDIT FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPED IN INCENTIVE HOUSING ZONES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 8-30g of the general statutes be amended to provide that, for purposes of determining whether a municipality qualifies for a temporary moratorium from the affordable housing appeals procedure, low-cost housing units developed in incentive housing zones, as defined in section 8-13 of the general statutes, shall be awarded twice the number of housing unit-equivalent points as currently set forth in section 8-30g(k)(2) of the general statutes.
Statement of Purpose:
To help municipalities qualify for a temporary moratorium from the affordable housing land use appeals procedure.
