AN ACT CONCERNING BILLS OF SALE AND RECORDS OF TRANSFER FOR HORSES SOLD OR TRANSFERRED IN THIS STATE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require that any bill of sale for any horse that is sold in the state or any record of transfer for any horse transferred in this state indicate to the seller or transferor that such horse may be sold for slaughter.
Statement of Purpose:
To better track the sale and transfer of horses in the state and provide information concerning their eventual welfare.
