AN ACT CONCERNING HYDRAULIC FRACTURING WASTE IN CONNECTICUT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 22a-142 of the general statutes be amended to repeal the authority of the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection to adopt regulations to permit the storage, disposal, handling and use of hydraulic fracturing waste in Connecticut.

Statement of Purpose:

To permanently prohibit the storage, disposal, handling and use of hydraulic fracturing waste in Connecticut.
