AN ACT RESTRICTING DRIVING IN THE EXTREME LEFT LANE ON STATE HIGHWAYS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That 14-230a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit any operator of a motor vehicle from driving in the extreme left lane on any state highway, except on the direction of a police officer, when access to or egress from such highway is provided on the left or when overtaking or passing another motor vehicle.

Statement of Purpose:

To restrict driving in the extreme left lane on state highways.
