AN ACT CONCERNING THE CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITY SYSTEM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Department of Higher Education shall study issues concerning streamlining the operations of the Connecticut State University System and eliminating any duplication of any of said system's procedures, functions or employment positions. Not later than January 1, 2012, the Commissioner of Higher Education shall report on such study to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to higher education in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
