AN ACT CONCERNING THE POWERS OF MUNICIPAL FAIR RENT COMMISSIONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 7-148b of the general statutes be amended to authorize municipal fair rent commissions to receive complaints relative to fees or surcharges imposed by a landlord.

Statement of Purpose:

To clarify the scope of authority for municipal fair rent commissions.
