AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TOURISM INVESTMENT FUND.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 219 of the general statutes be amended to increase the hotel tax by one per cent and to require that the resulting revenue be deposited in a Tourism Investment Fund to be used for tourism marketing by the Commission on Culture and Tourism and the regional tourism districts.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the hotel and lodging tax to support the newly-created Tourism Investment Fund.
