AN ACT PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION APPROVED FACILITY AT THE AVERY POINT CAMPUS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT FOR THE TESTING OF SHELLFISH.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the sum of ____ dollars be appropriated to The University of Connecticut, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016, for the purpose of constructing a Food and Drug Administration approved facility to perform the sample testing of shellfish.

Statement of Purpose:

To support the shellfish industry in southeastern Connecticut.
