AN ACT CONCERNING A GROUP HOME MODEL FOR MENTAL HEALTH CARE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 17a of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services to (1) study the feasibility and benefits of providing additional mental health services through a group home model, and (2) provide parents of children with mental disabilities additional information about available services in a group setting.

Statement of Purpose:

To expand opportunities for mental health services in a group home setting and provide additional information to parents about such services.
