AN ACT CONCERNING COMMERCIAL SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF A MINOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 53a-196i of the general statutes be amended to provide that a person is guilty of commercial sexual exploitation of a minor if such person knowingly publishes, disseminates or displays an advertisement for a commercial sex act which is to take place in this state that includes a depiction of a minor.

Statement of Purpose:

To require publishers of advertisements for commercial sex acts to ascertain the age of persons depicted in those advertisements prior to publication.
