AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE TO MAKE STATE FACILITIES ACCESSIBLE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate ___dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the Department of Administrative Services for the purpose of installing accessible ramps, power assisted doors, elevators and accessible bathrooms for persons with disabilities in all state office facilities where the public may require access.

Statement of Purpose:

To authorize bonds of the state for the installation of accessible ramps, power assist doors, elevators and accessible bathrooms in state facilities in order to improve accessibility for persons with disabilities.
