AN ACT AUTHORIZING A STUDY OF THE CREATION OF A LAND BANK AUTHORITY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management shall conduct a study regarding the creation of a land bank authority to aid municipalities in the conversion of abandoned, tax-delinquent properties to productive use. Not later than January 1, 2019, the secretary shall submit a report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to local governments. Such report shall contain the results of such study and legislative recommendations for the creation of such authority.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
