AN ACT PERMITTING THE SALE OF PRIVATELY HELD ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR FOR AUCTION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2016) Notwithstanding any provision of title 30 of the general statutes, an owner of alcoholic liquor, other than the holder of an alcoholic liquor permit issued pursuant to title 30 of the general statutes, may sell or transfer ownership of the alcoholic liquor to the holder of an alcoholic liquor permit issued pursuant to title 30 of the general statutes that allows the permit holder to resell the alcoholic liquor at auction.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:

To allow private parties to sell alcoholic liquor to permit holders for auction.
