AN ACT CONCERNING VIRTUAL NET METERING.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 16-244u of the general statutes be amended to (1) permit the state or any political subdivision thereof to qualify for virtual net metering, and (2) allow the state or any political subdivision thereof that leases a virtual net metering facility or enters into a power purchase agreement with the owner of such facility to qualify for virtual net metering.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow the state or any political subdivision that leases a virtual net metering facility or enters into a power purchase agreement with the owner of such facility to qualify for virtual net metering by expanding current law that qualifies only municipal ownership of such facility.
