AN ACT AUTHORIZING ANIMAL WELFARE ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE PET CARE CLASSES TO ELEMENTARY AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to allow animal welfare organizations, such as the Connecticut Humane Society and the ASPCA, to provide free classes about pet care and the humane treatment of animals to elementary and high school students.
Statement of Purpose:
To educate students on pet care and the proper treatment of animals.
