AN ACT CONCERNING THE FINE FOR VIOLATING A QUARANTINE OR REGULATION OF THE CONNECTICUT AGRICULTURAL EXPERIMENT STATION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. Subsection (c) of section 22-84 of the general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective from passage):

(c) Any person interfering with the director or the director's designee in the performance of said director's duty under the provisions of this section or violating any quarantine or any regulation established under the provisions of this section shall be fined not less than five hundred dollars or more than [one] two thousand five hundred dollars.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:

To update the minimum and maximum amount of the fine that person is subject to for violating a quarantine or regulation of the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station.
