AN ACT CONCERNING THE SALE OR DELIVERY OF BODY ARMOR TO FIREFIGHTERS, EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES PERSONNEL.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That subsection (b) of section 53-341b of the general statutes be amended to permit firefighters, emergency medical service organizations and emergency medical services personnel to purchase or receive body armor without meeting the transferor of such body armor in person.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow firefighters and persons who provide emergency medical services to more easily obtain body armor for use in dangerous work environments.
