AN ACT AUTHORIZING FIREFIGHTERS TO CONDUCT CHARITABLE FUNDRAISING BOOT DRIVES ON STATE HIGHWAYS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 13b of the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Transportation to issue special event permits to fire departments that request such permits to conduct "fill the boot" fundraising drives on state highways in order to raise donations and funds for charitable purposes.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow firefighters the ability to conduct fundraising boot drives on state highways.
