AN ACT REDUCING THE AMOUNT OF GASOLINE TAX PAID BY CONSUMERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to reduce the motor vehicles fuels tax in such a manner that the amount of tax paid by the consumer is reduced by two cents per gallon for each fiscal year commencing on or after July 1, 2017, through the fiscal year commencing on July 1, 2022.

Statement of Purpose:

To reduce the amount of gasoline tax paid by consumers over a six- year period.
