AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE ENFORCEMENT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 104 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit any municipal police officer from leaving the boundaries of the municipality to pursue any individual who is suspected of violating a municipal ordinance.

Statement of Purpose:

To prohibit a municipal police officer from crossing town lines solely to enforce a municipal ordinance, such as door-to-door solicitation.
