AN ACT CONCERNING HUNTING, TRAPPING AND SPORT FISHING LICENSE FEES FOR OUT-OF-STATE RESIDENTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) Notwithstanding any provision of the general statutes, not later than August 1, 2011, the Commissioner of Environmental Protection shall adopt a schedule of hunting, trapping and sport fishing license fees for nonresidents that establishes any such fee in an amount equal to the amount of such fee that the home state of such nonresident charges for the issuance of such nonresident hunting, trapping and sport fishing license provided such amount established by the commissioner shall not be less than the fee that a resident of this state is required to pay the commissioner for any such hunting, trapping or sport fishing license.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:

To create parity between the hunting, trapping and fishing license fees paid by out-of-state residents to this state and the hunting, trapping and fishing license fees that Connecticut residents are required to pay in other states.
