AN ACT CONCERNING THE ADMINISTRATION OF EPINEPHRINE IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 19a-900 of the general statutes be amended to provide that persons age eighteen or over, who are employed in positions that involve regular contact with the general public, may obtain a prescription to possess epinephrine administered through a cartridge injector for use in emergency situations, provided such persons have successfully completed a training program approved by the Department of Public Health.
Statement of Purpose:
To permit certain persons age eighteen or over to obtain a prescription that allows such persons to administer epinephrine though a cartridge injector to a member of the public in an emergency situation.
