AN ACT CONCERNING FULL STATE FUNDING FOR EDUCATION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 172 of the general statutes be amended to modify the education cost-sharing formula to provide state funding for all reasonable minimum educational costs, including special education, as such costs are determined under regulations adopted by the State Board of Education, and to provide such funding directly to school districts and repeal any requirement that property tax revenues be used toward education.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide full state funding for education.
