AN ACT CONCERNING EXPENDITURES BY PARTY COMMITTEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 9-607 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit any party committee from making an expenditure (1) on behalf of a candidate for the office of Governor in an amount that exceeds two hundred fifty thousand dollars, and (2) on behalf of a candidate for any other state-wide office in an amount that exceeds seventy-five thousand dollars, provided such prohibition shall apply only to expenditures made on behalf of candidates participating in the Citizens' Election Program.
Statement of Purpose:
To limit the expenditures party committees may make on behalf of candidates participating in the Citizens' Election Program.
