AN ACT ABOLISHING THE DEATH PENALTY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to replace the death penalty with a penalty of life imprisonment without the possibility of release for certain murders committed on or after the effective date of this act.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide for the prospective abolition of the death penalty.
