CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE— 2021–2022 REGULAR SESSION

Senate Bill
No. 1113

Introduced by Senator Ochoa Bogh

February 16, 2022

An act to amend Section 56836 of the Education Code, relating to special education.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

SB 1113, as introduced, Ochoa Bogh. Special education: funding.
Existing law requires apportionments to special education local plan areas for special education programs operated by, and services provided by, school districts, county offices of education, and special education local plan areas to be computed pursuant to certain provisions of existing law.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to that provision.
Vote: MAJORITY   Appropriation: NO   Fiscal Committee: NO   Local Program: NO

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

Section 56836 of the Education Code is amended to read:

56836.
Commencing with the 1998–99 fiscal year year, and for each fiscal year thereafter, apportionments to special education local plan areas for special education programs operated by, and services provided by, districts, county offices, and special education local plan areas shall be computed pursuant to this chapter.
