An act relating to technology.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 594, as introduced, Salas. Artificial intelligence.

Existing law establishes within the Government Operations Agency the Department of Technology, which is supervised by the Director of Technology. Existing law authorizes the director and the department to exercise various powers in creating and managing the information technology policy of the state.

This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation relating to artificial intelligence.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation relating to artificial intelligence.
