An act to amend Section 8560 of the Government Code, relating to emergency services.

AB 2819, as introduced, Cooley. California Emergency Services Act: definitions.
The California Emergency Services Act establishes the Office of Emergency Services for specified purposes, including mitigating the effects of natural, man-made, or war-caused emergencies. The act defines terms for purposes of its provisions, including “emergency plans” and “State Emergency Plan.”
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to those definitions.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 8560 of the Government Code is amended to read:

8560.
 (a) “Emergency plans” means those official and approved documents which that describe the principles and methods to be applied in carrying out emergency operations or rendering mutual aid during emergencies. These plans include such elements as continuity of government, the emergency services of governmental agencies, mobilization of resources, mutual aid, and public information.
(b) “State Emergency Plan” means the State of California Emergency Plan Plan, as approved by the Governor.
