An act to amend Section 19600 of the Education Code, relating to libraries.


LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


AB 2676, as introduced, Cervantes. Libraries: public libraries and museums.
Existing law authorizes an unincorporated town or village to establish, equip, and maintain a public library for the dissemination of knowledge of the arts, sciences, and general literature, as well as a public museum, in accordance with specified laws.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to that law.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 19600 of the Education Code is amended to read:

19600.
 Any An unincorporated town or village of this state may establish, equip, and maintain a public library for the dissemination of knowledge of the arts, sciences, and general literature, in accordance with this chapter. Any An unincorporated town or village of this state may also establish, equip, and maintain a public museum in accordance with this chapter.
