AN ACT

 

Amending title 41, chapter 40, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 41‑4202; relating to Arizona ranger vehicles.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 41, chapter 40, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 41-4202, to read:

START_STATUTE41-4202.  Arizona ranger vehicles; use of red and blue lights

A.  A vehicle that is operated by an Arizona ranger for official Arizona rangers purposes may be equipped with a lighted lamp exhibiting red and blue lights.

B.  Lights may be equipped with one or more flashing, oscillating or rotating red and blue lights and may be displayed while an Arizona ranger vehicle is stationary and only when the vehicle is being used by an Arizona ranger for official Arizona rangers purposes, traffic control or when engaged in an emergency operation.

C.  When an Arizona ranger is operating under the specific authority and request of a police agency, flashing, oscillating or rotating red and blue lights may be used while the vehicle is in motion. END_STATUTE
