AN ACT

 

amending Title 15, chapter 7, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 15-712.01; relating to school curriculum.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 15, chapter 7, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 15-712.01, to read:

START_STATUTE15-712.01.  Instruction on dating violence; definitions

A.  All public high schools, including charter schools that provide instruction to high school pupils, shall incorporate into the existing curricula instruction on the recognition and prevention of dating violence.

B.  For the purposes of this section:

1.  "Dating partner" means any person who is involved in an intimate or romantic relationship with another person.

2.  "Dating violence" means the intentional infliction of physical harm by a person against that person's dating partner. END_STATUTE
