AN ACT

 

Appropriating monies to the arizona commerce authority.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Arizona commerce authority; appropriation; rural broadband grants; report; exemption

A.  The sum of $10,000,000 in onetime funding is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2020-2021 to the Arizona commerce authority to provide rural broadband grants.  The Arizona commerce authority shall report to the joint legislative budget committee on or before January 31, 2021 on its plan for distributing these grants.

B.  The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to the lapsing of appropriations.
