AN ACT

 

Making an appropriation to the department of transportation for increased security and border inspection at ports of entry from Mexico.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Appropriation; increased security and border inspection; exemption

A.  The sum of $819,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2010-2011 to the department of transportation for increased security and border inspection at all ports of entry in Arizona along the border of the United States and Mexico as follows:

1.  Of the monies appropriated in fiscal year 2009-2010 to the county attorney immigration enforcement special line item by Laws 2009, first regular session, chapter 11, section 7, as amended by Laws 2009, first regular session, chapter 12, section 5, $409,500 is transferred to the department of transportation.

2.  Of the monies appropriated in fiscal year 2009-2010 to the GIITEM special line item by Laws 2009, first regular session, chapter 11, section 83, as amended by Laws 2009, first regular session, chapter 12, section 35, $409,500 is transferred to the department of transportation.

B.  The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
