An Act

 

amending title 39, chapter 1, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 39-130; relating to public records.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 39, chapter 1, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 39-130, to read:

START_STATUTE39-130. School districts; public records; fees

A school DISTRICT may establish a onetime fee for searching and providing a public record to a person who submits a public records request. The school district may take into consideration the following information when determining the amount of the onetime fee:

1. The reasonable cost of reviewing, transmitting, making a copy of and, as necessary, redacting the public record.

2. Any other relevant factor. END_STATUTE
