AN ACT

 

amending section 23-318, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to minimum wages for minors.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Section 23-318, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

START_STATUTE23-318. Power of wage board to administer oaths, issue subpoenas and take depositions

A. The chairman of a wage board may administer oaths and require by subpoena the attendance and testimony of witnesses, the production of all books, records and other evidence relative to matters under investigation. The subpoenas shall be signed and issued by the chairman of the wage board, and shall be served and shall have the same effect as if issued from the superior courts court.

B. Obedience to subpoenas issued by authority of the wage board shall be enforced in the superior court of in the county in which the subpoena is issued.

C. A wage board may cause depositions of witnesses residing within or without the state to be taken in the manner prescribed for taking depositions in civil actions in the superior courts court. END_STATUTE
