AN ACT

 

amending title 9, chapter 4, article 8, arizona revised statutes, by adding section 9-500.46; amending title 11, chapter 2, article 4, arizona revised statutes, by adding section 11-269.27; relating to local governments.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 9, chapter 4, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 9-500.46, to read:

START_STATUTE9-500.46.  Budget cycle; meeting with police associations

The governing body of a city or town must meet with police associations serving the peace officers of that city or town during the budget cycle to discuss the allocation of monies for public safety services.END_STATUTE

Sec. 2.  Title 11, chapter 2, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 11-269.27, to read:

START_STATUTE11-269.27.  Budget cycle; meeting with police associations

The board of supervisors of a county must meet with the police associations serving the peace officers of that county during the budget cycle to discuss the allocation of monies for public safety services. END_STATUTE
