HOUSE BILL 2123

 

 

AN ACT

 

Amending section 20‑141, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to the department of insurance.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Section 20-141, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

START_STATUTE20-141.  Director of insurance; appointment; qualifications; compensation

A.  There shall be a director of insurance who shall be appointed by the governor pursuant to section 38‑211.

B.  The director shall serve at the pleasure of the governor.

C.  The director shall be a person well versed in insurance matters who has been a resident of the state for at least three years prior to appointment.

D.  The director shall receive compensation as determined pursuant to section 38‑611. END_STATUTE
