The state comptroller shall make the reductions required by this subsection and shall report the amount of the reductions to the director of the joint legislative budget committee and the director of the governor's office of strategic planning and budgeting.
B. The sum of $13,400,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2015‑2016 to the department of public safety for a three per cent salary increase for all employees of the department. The appropriation made by this subsection is reduced by an amount equal to the amount deposited in the parity compensation fund established by section 41‑1720, Arizona Revised Statutes, during fiscal year 2015‑2016. The state comptroller shall make the reduction required by this subsection and report the amount of the reduction to the director of the joint legislative budget committee and the director of the governor's office of strategic planning and budgeting.
C. The sum of $18,400,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2016‑2017 to the department of public safety for salary increases for employees of the department. The appropriation made by this subsection is reduced by an amount equal to the amount deposited in the parity compensation fund established by section 41‑1720, Arizona Revised Statutes, during fiscal year 2016‑2017. The state comptroller shall make the reduction required by this subsection and report the amount of the reduction to the director of the joint legislative budget committee and the director of the governor's office of strategic planning and budgeting."
