SENATE RESOLUTION 57

Recognizing the accomplishments of the Hurricane High School Red Hot Show Choir.

Whereas, The Red Hot Show Choir has won the West Virginia State Choir Festival 15 times; and

Whereas, The Red Hots have won the West Virginia State Show Choir Festival consecutively for the last nine years and is the current reigning champion; and

Whereas, The Red Hots have won a total of 57 overall grand championships; and

Whereas, The Red Hot Show Choir is currently ranked number 9 in the country for the most overall grand championship wins; and

Whereas, The Red Hots 2024 senior class has earned 12 overall grand championships in the past 4 years; and

Whereas, The Red Hots in competition with Heat Wave are recognized as exceptional show choirs from Hurricane, West Virginia; therefore, be it

Resolved by the Senate:

That the Senate hereby recognizes the accomplishments of the Hurricane High School Red Hot Show Choir; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to Kimberly Edwards, Director of the Hurricane High School Red Hot Show Choir.
