A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §18A-2-15, relating to school personnel; and requiring boards of education to hire the most qualified person for extracurricular activities.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §18A-2-15, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2. SCHOOL PERSONNEL.
§18A-2-15. Hiring for extracurricular activities.
The board shall hire the most qualified person for the supervision and regulation of all extracurricular activities of the students in public schools.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require boards of education to hire the most qualified person for extracurricular activities.
