A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia,1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §17C-3-11, relating to requiring a warning light to be erected on certain roads to warn of a traffic light ahead.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
ARTICLE 3. TRAFFIC SIGNS, SIGNALS, AND MARKINGS.
§17C-3-11. Warning of traffic lights ahead.
On all state roads where speed limits are 60 miles per hour or higher, warning lights shall be erected at a sufficient distance to allow a motor vehicle to stop safely to notify drivers that they are approaching a traffic light. These lights shall contain a system that additionally warns drivers that the light will have turned red by the time they reach its location.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require that a warning light be erected on certain roads to warn of a traffic light ahead.
