A BILL to amend and reenact §64-6-1 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to authorizing the Fire Commission to promulgate a legislative rule relating to the State Building Code.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
ARTICLE 6. Authorization for Department of homeland security to promulgate legislative rules.
§64-6-1. Fire Commission.
The legislative rule filed in the State Register on July 30, 2021, authorized under the authority of §15A-11-11 of this code, modified by the Fire Commission to meet the objections of the Legislative Rule-Making Review Committee and refiled in the State Register on January 7, 2022, relating to the Fire Commission (State Building Code , 87 CSR 04), is authorized with the amendment set forth below:
On page 5, paragraph 4.1.f.1, by striking out everything after the word “shall” and inserting in lieu thereof: “conform to the 2009 edition of the International Energy Conservation Code.”
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the Fire Commission to promulgate a legislative rule relating to the State Building Code.
