A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §35-5-9, relating to requiring every internment or grave to identify the decedents’ identity.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

    That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §35-5-9, to read as follows:

ARTICLE 5. CEMETERIES.

§35-5-9. Names on internments or graves required.

    From the effective date of this section, every internment or grave shall have a name plate identifying the decedents’ identity.




    NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require every internment or grave to identify the decedents’ identity.
